SME General Helpdesk in Hunza

Bank Alfalah recently joined hands with SMEDA’s Women Development Wing to organize a dedicated awareness session for women entrepreneurs in Lahore. Our core objective was to spread awareness and provide handholding through our Non-financial Advisory Services Program and disseminate knowledge about SME financing to the thriving women business community.

Women Entrepreneurs hailing from various sectors were subsequently provided guidance on SBP’s RF and credit guarantee scheme for Women Entrepreneurs and PM’s Kamyab Jawan Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme respectively.

 

SME Awareness Session for Women Entrepreneurs in line with SBP’s Policy on Banking on Equality

SME General Helpdesk in Sahiwal (December, 2021)

The SME Team organized a SME General Helpdesk in collaboration with SMEDA and UNIDO at Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 14th December, 2021. The purpose of this helpdesk was to create awareness among the local SMEs regarding the benefits of engaging with financial institutions with special focus on Renewable Energy.

The helpdesk also provided the local SMEs with an opportunity to understand the various banking services and financing options available and being offered by Bank Alfalah. Overall, the session received great feedback and was well acknowledged by the audience in attendance.

SME Thematic Helpdesk in Skardu (November, 2021)

The SME team organized a Thematic Helpdesk at Bank Alfalah, Skardu on 9th December, 2021. An expert was engaged to provide advice and consultancy to the SMEs on Marketing, Branding and Advertising.

The one-on-one consultation session received an extremely favorable response from the SMEs in attendance.  By conducting such sessions in BAFL branches all across Pakistan, we intend to help our customers tackle issues confronting their business and enable them in effectively expanding their operations with our help.

The SME team organized a Thematic Helpdesk at Bank Alfalah Main Branch, Gilgit on 30th November, 2021. An expert was engaged to provide advice and consultancy to the SMEs on Marketing, Branding and Advertising.

The one-on-one consultation session received an extremely favorable response from the SMEs in attendance. Great interest was observed by the women entrepreneurs who were eager to adopt new practices to their businesses. By conducting such sessions in BAFL branches all across Pakistan, we intend to help our customers tackle issues confronting their business and enable them in effectively expanding their operations with our help.

First Women Champion Helpdesk inaugurated at Bank Alfalah Faisalabad (October, 2021)

In line with State Bank of Pakistan’s policy on Banking on Equality, the first women helpdesk has been inaugurated at Bank Alfalah Liaqat Road Branch, Faisalabad. Under this initiative, all commercial banks shall be setting up women specific helpdesks at their branches by the year 2024.

Chief Manager SBP Faisalabad, Mr. Sarfraz Ahmad Nadeem was also present at the occasion and shared his key notes on the importance of financial inclusion of women and also emphasized on the role that banks can play to encourage women customers. Bank Alfalah was widely appreciated for taking a lead and establishing the ‘first women champion helpdesk’ which shall exclusively cater the financial needs of women and will be supervised by female staff.  Kudos to our entire SME Team Faisalabad Region and to Mr. Ali Kamran – RSM Faisalabad II for taking the lead and paving the way forward!
