SME Banking Division conducted a road show in Islamabad with the support of the local area office. The location selected for the road show was the G-9 markaz, which is home to a large number of diverse SMEs.
The event started with members of the SME team briefing all participants on the objectives of the activity along with providing a refresher course on the SME product suite. Afterwards, the participants were divided into teams, which visited the G-9 markaz and were able to reach out to 85 businessmen in a span of 3 hours. The area is a hub of SME activity with a number of retailers and merchants active in the market, there are numerous shops for garments, jewelry, toys, electronics and shoes along with auto showrooms and medical pharmacies. A number of leads were generated for new accounts, autos, Bancassurance and Alfalah Merchant Line (AML) against existing POS machines. These are under follow up by the branch to convert to business for the bank.
The road-show gave the local team a chance to gain valuable insights and feedback from existing as well as potential clients. In addition, the SMEs were highly receptive to the activity and appreciated the effort taken by Bank Alfalah to reach-out to them.
