The SME Team has been on the road again – this time in Karachi. Mr. Sikander Karim, Head Non-Financial Advisory Services and Mr. Krishan Vaswani, Head Credits Retail and Middle Markets South, were hosted by Federal B. Area Association of Trade and industry (FBATI), Karachi to conduct an awareness session for their members on Bank Alfalah’s initiatives in the SME sector.
Mr. Krishan Vaswani explained that the bank’s SME product suite is designed based on a thorough understanding of SME needs. These products cater to the textile industry and cover all aspects of their financing needs. Mr. Sikander Karim talked about the Bank’s unique initiative of providing non-financial advisory and the SME Toolkit. He elaborated how the toolkit can help firms in the textile business develop a structure around their business operations, bookkeeping and thus help them gain access to finance.
Mr. Jawed Ali Ghori, President FBATI, applauded the role of Bank Alfalah in offering unique solutions, tailored according to the needs of SMEs in Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rashid Hamidani, Secretary General FBATI, emphasized on the need for financial institutions and banks to support the growing SME community with creative solutions such as the ones offered by Bank Alfalah.
The highly interactive hour long session was attended by many eminent members of the association who appreciated the different initiatives being offered by the Bank for SME facilitation.
