SME team participated in the 5th annual Pak-China Business Forum 2016 organised by Punjab Board of Investment & Trade and Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with COMSATS institution.
In his inauguration speech, Chief Minister Punjab, Mr. Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif said that investment of Chinese companies in Pakistan is a great example of friendship and the collaboration will result in increased economic activity and prosperity for both. Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister – Science and Technology, said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would prove to be a game changer for Pakistan’s economy.
At the business forum, companies displayed their products and a series of seminars were held pertaining to Pak-China Economic Corridor (CPEC). The SME and L&DD teams attended the event along with 350 Chinese and 150 local companies. A number of B2B meetings were held with Chinese companies focusing on how Bank Alfalah can facilitate them in their business, banking, financial and trade transaction needs. SME ARMs also participated in practical hands-on training assignments for visiting all companies to gauge banking needs of local merchants and introducing them to suitable Bank Alfalah’s solutions.
